Citadel Value Fund SICAV was established on January 3, 2002, and began trading on February 11, 2002. A SICAV is an open-ended investment fund with variable capital. In an open-ended fund, investors can enter or leave on an on-going basis (in Citadel’s case, twice per month) and the Fund’s size adjusts accordingly, with new shares being issued or existing shares withdrawn. When investors enter the Fund, they purchase shares at the same Net Asset Value per share as the share is currently valued at, putting new and existing shareholders on equal footing.
Citadel Value Fund holds a permit from and is subject to supervision of the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), the regulatory authority in Luxembourg. It must comply with numerous regulatory requirements, many of which are detailed in the Fund’s Prospectus. The Fund operates under European Union directives with a European Passport, allowing it to be freely marketed throughout the EU, subject to local registrations.
In addition to Luxembourg, Citadel Value Fund is currently registered with the Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM) in the Netherlands, permitting it to be marketed to the general public in the Netherlands.
The CSSF has issued an attestation certifying that Citadel Value Fund SICAV is established as a UCITS fund (Undertaking for Collective Investments in Transferable Securities) and registered with the CSSF under registry number 3269 as an investment company with variable capital, with Pure Capital S.A. serving as the designated management company.
